Police were called when this lady left her dog in a hot car while she went into Walmart.
When she came back out to her car, a cop was waiting and made her sit in the hot car to see how her dog felt!
HuffingtonPost.com reports that this happened after the officer responded to the call about the dog being left in the car in Ohio:
“To prove a point, the officer made the woman sit inside of the warm car with the windows up and without the engine on for a few minutes.
The woman said she was fine but the officer noted she looked uncomfortable. The woman was advised if she did this again she would be cited.”
More: What To Do If You See A Dog In A Hot Car
The article notes that this isn’t the first time that an officer has done this. They say that last year another officer did the same thing to a woman who left her dog in a hot car in New Mexico.
That woman said that what the officer did was “abusive”. It was all caught on camera too.
Do you think it’s fair or is the officer going too far by making these people sit in a hot car after they leave their dogs in a hot car?

I think the officer was right to do what he did. Do unto other as they do to you. She did it to the dog and so she should have it done to her. Good for the officer.

And animal abuse. She had a choice the animal didn’t. Abuse would have been if the cop slapped the taste out of her mouth for stupidity. He taught her a lesson. I would have done both.

I’m sure she didn’t learn anything. What she did get was mad as a hornet for being called out and has probably consulted an attorney to see if this qualifies as being unlawfully detained.

Im not saying she didnt deserve it. Im say a police officer is not judge, jury & executioner! We have rule of law in this country.

It’s nice seeing a cop trying to teach someone a lesson but what he did is illegal because it counts as cruel and unusual punishment and he can loose his badge for it
