When Tammy Ashley arrived at the airport to pick up her son’s companion, something incredible happened. Tammy Ashley says the dog went right up to her, looked into her face, and could see a reflection of his former owner.
“It was almost like…I recognize you, or you’re…Josh’s Mom,” she says.
Now, Sirius is a loving member of the Ashley household. Every day, he reminds Ashley’s mother of her son and his sacrifice, but he brings more comfort than sadness.
“It’s like getting a little piece of my brother back home with us,” said Ashley’s younger brother Jordan. Jordan has bonded with Sirius quickly, and you can see below just how much it means to the family having the pup around.
