MikeyGus' parents, Spartacus and Temperance, tended to be a little more gentle with him after his diagnosis, but still treated him like a normal puppy. MikeyGus didn't miss a beat, despite his dwarfism. He ran and played with his parents and siblings, and never let his disability hinder his joy.
MikeyGus also had chickens and the family Shih Tzu to play with whenever he wanted. There was also a cow on the property named Biscotti. MikeyGus became a big fan of cuddling up next to the fence where the cow was laying and taking a nap. Biscotti also seemed pretty fond of her new snuggle buddy.
MikeyGus' diagnosis put him at risk of a shorter life expectancy, but that hasn't stopped him from living, and it hasn't stopped his parents and human companions from loving him fiercely. MikeyGus became the picture of determination to his family and has encouraged Amy and Heath that even when times are hard, to never give up!
