Basset Hound Who Was Starving In The Streets Adopted By George And Amal Clooney

Now this is a rags to riches story! Millie the Basset Hound, who was found begging for scraps outside a California Restaurant, has just been adopted by George and Amal Clooney.

The homeless 4-year-old dog arrived at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society in early October after she was spotted outside a local restaurant.

Apparently, the famous Hollywood star and his wife saw Millie’s picture on Petfinder and showed up at the shelter to meet her with their other rescue dog, Louie.

The Clooneys spent some time meeting with Millie and seeing if the two dogs would get along. Shelter spokesperson Lynn Collmann said the Clooneys asked questions of the staff and adopted her there and then.

  1. We have three basset hounds one a rescue Hector whose owners couldn’t cope with. The drool and hair loss is a minor issue when you realise how much love and affection they have. They love being with you and their characters never fail to make you smile. Well done Mr and Mrs Clooney

  2. U go George! Take care of that puffy sweetheart! Marshmallow hands! I miss the pleasant aroma of cornchips that my sweet Buford had. If u hv a Bassett u know what i mean by this.
