Luna the cat has always had a knack for mischief — especially when food is involved.
So when she started raiding the pantry to sneak bites of cat food straight from the bag, her family decided it was time to take action.
“She figured out how to pull the cabinet open with her paw and would climb in just to get at the food,” said Luna’s mom, Nini Espinoza. “We started tying the doors shut to stop her.”
Luna’s obsession with food doesn’t end in the pantry, either — she always joins the family for dinner, showing up at the table like clockwork. But one evening, she was nowhere to be seen.
A quick search of the house revealed the answer: Luna was inside the pantry, staring out from behind the still-securely-tied doors.
“We were so confused,” Espinoza said. “We untied it to let her out — but she just sat there like she owned the place. We had to carry her out.”
After some head-scratching, the family realized how their clever cat pulled off her pantry heist.
“She must have snuck in when we opened it to grab tortillas for dinner,” Espinoza said.
While Luna’s entrance may not have been a magic trick, her pantry persistence proves she’s got Houdini-level determination — and no locked door will stop her for long.
