When Beau’s parents first told him a baby was on the way, he didn’t really understand what it meant. He wagged through the gender reveal, “helped” pick the name, and watched the nursery take shape — but it wasn’t until baby Frankie arrived that everything clicked.
From that moment, Beau wasn’t just the family dog anymore. He was a big brother — and he took the job to heart.
He’s been there for every milestone — Frankie’s first crawl, first steps, first snack dropped on the floor. Wherever Frankie goes, Beau follows, tail wagging and eyes full of love.
So when the day finally came for Frankie to start school, Beau noticed something was different the second his little brother left the house.
“We thought the first day of school would be hardest on us as parents,” Beau and Frankie’s parents wrote on TikTok. “But very quickly, we realized someone else was about to struggle more than us.”
When Beau saw Frankie leave without him, he froze at the front door. Then he lay down — and waited.
“He wouldn’t leave the foyer,” his parents wrote. “Hour after hour went by, and he just stayed there, listening for every sound outside, hoping it was his little brother coming home.”
Finally, the moment arrived. The door opened — and there was Frankie.
Beau’s tail exploded into motion. He leapt up, whining, wagging, spinning in circles of pure joy before showering Frankie with kisses. And Frankie, still in his tiny backpack, laughed and hugged him right back.
From day one, they’ve been inseparable — and even now, with school in the mix, Beau refuses to let that change.
He might not understand why Frankie has to leave every morning, but he knows one thing for sure:
When his best friend comes home, he’ll be right there waiting.
