Dog Waits at Airport With a Sign — For the Sweetest Reunion of All

Dog Waits at Airport With a Sign — For the Sweetest Reunion of All

Meet Frederico Alfredo — a loving therapy dog from Brazil who spends his days comforting patients in hospitals alongside his devoted mom, Jamili Saade.

Spreading joy is what Frederico does best — but recently, the happiness came back around to him in the most beautiful way.

After being adopted from another state, Frederico’s new life took an unexpected turn. Not long after his adoption, Saade was contacted by a family who had adopted one of Frederico’s littermates — his brother, Tunico Bastos.

Although the pups were now living in different cities, the two families stayed connected. In 2023, Saade, her husband, and Frederico traveled to visit Tunico’s family — and a bond was formed not just between the brothers, but between the humans, too.

“We became good friends,” Saade told The Dodo. “[This year] we invited them to visit us in our city.”

After months apart, the big moment finally arrived — and Frederico was ready.

Waiting patiently in the airport’s arrivals area, Frederico proudly held a sign with Tunico’s name and carried a cheerful PAW Patrol balloon, catching the attention of travelers and airport staff alike. The adorable greeter was on a mission — to reunite with his brother.

When Tunico and his family finally came through the terminal, the reunion was instant — joyful, chaotic, and unmistakably brotherly.

“They stayed with us for a week,” Saade said. “We visited many places around the city.”

The two dogs picked up right where they left off — sharing love, laughter, and a few classic sibling spats.

“They got on each other’s nerves,” Saade laughed. “But it was funny.”

It was a sweet reminder that some bonds, no matter the time or distance, never fade — even between dogs.
