In romantic relationships, it’s usually a bad sign when things come down to an ultimatum. When one person forces the other to make an impossible choice, it’s usually a sign of larger problems in the relationship, and suddenly they all come to a head in one drastic dilemma.
When this man and his girlfriend discussed moving in together, there was a problem: his girlfriend hated his dog. So, she made him choose: it was either her or the dog…
This man and his girlfriend wanted to move in together, but she despised his beagle Molly. So she gave him a choice: her or me.
Soon after, he made this ad on Craigslist: “My girlfriend does not like my beagle Molly. SO I have to rehome her.”
“She is a purebred from a wealthy area and I have had her for 4 years. She likes to play games. Not totally trained. Has long hair so she’s a little high maintenance, especially the nails, but she loves having them done.”
“Stays up all night yapping but sleeps while I work. Only eats the best, most expensive food. Will NEVER greet you at the door after a long day or give you unconditional love when you’re down. Does not bite but she can be mean as hell!”
He concluded the post: “So… anyone interested in my 30-year-old, selfish, wicked, gold-digging girlfriend? Come and get her! Me and my dog want her rehomed ASAP!!”
LOL! That’s a tough position to be in, but it sounds like that guy definitely made the right call. Making somebody give up their pet is simply too much to ask!

Dog always come first. When I met my husband 35 years ago he had a beautiful German shepherd. That was his baby. I fell in love with her right away. She was a wonderful dog.

The moment someone demands you choose betweem them and something/someone else, dump them. Someone who loves you won’t make you give up something/someone you love or makes you happy.

If someone has the personality to want to make you choose between them & the dog, it would not end there – the choices would only get worse. No one will ever come between me and my dogs! Luckily my husband is just as much of a dog nut as I am!!!

This tells a great deal about A person’s character. My two girls were tossed into a shelter after living with their owner for 11 years. He was getting married and the woman did not like them. She will toss him into a nursing home down the road. i am the lucky one, my two senior girls are the best dogs in the world.

Good guy! I took my teacup poodle on my first date with my husband, a test. I watched his response. Had it been a negative, it would have been the only date. I would never trust a guy who doesn’t like a dog in the first place.

I had a pug ( still do) before I met my husband. He stayed over one night and had an asthma attack from my dog. I told him I was sorry but didn’t think it was going to work out since he was allergic to my dog. I was not going to get rid of the dog. He understood and was able to deal with it. We now have a second pug and she is his dog.
