For Juliana Lima Queiroz, cleaning day at her home in Brazil is never a simple task — and it’s all thanks to her very helpful dog, Ted.
Ted, a 7-year-old pup with a big personality, has always been more of a spectator when it comes to housework. While his family swept and scrubbed, Ted would usually lounge nearby, perfectly content to let the humans handle it.
That all changed one day when Queiroz’s husband happened to sweep a little too close — and the broom’s bristles brushed against Ted’s fur.
In that moment, Ted discovered something magical.
“He started running around, chasing the broom so that we’d sweep him,” Queiroz told The Dodo. “Now he wants to be swept every day.”
What began as a small accident quickly became Ted’s favorite part of the day. Now, whenever a broom appears, he’s right there — tail wagging, eyes sparkling — insisting on being part of the action.
A video of Ted’s “help” shows exactly how much fun he’s having … and how much slower cleaning has become.
Ted isn’t exactly making the job easier — but his family doesn’t mind one bit.
“It’s not a big deal at all,” Queiroz said. “We love that he discovered that. Now, we simply sweep the porch — and him.”
Because when a dog’s this happy to “help,” a few extra minutes of sweeping is totally worth it.
