Car Owner Drops To Their Knees After Reading Mysterious Note On Their Vehicle

A California resident was heading to their car last week when they spotted something unusual — a handwritten note taped to the door. The moment they began reading it, their stomach sank.

“You have a dog under your car,” the note read. “10/23, 7 p.m. Check before you leave.”

Alarmed, the person knelt down — and there, just as the note warned, was a brown-and-white pit bull mix curled tightly beneath the car, trembling on a small bed she’d dragged under for shelter.

No matter how gently they tried to coax her out, the frightened pup refused to budge.

“She would curl up on her bed and hide under that car, waiting,” wrote Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy 29. “Waiting for someone who would never come back.”

The Good Samaritan left food and water for her and promised to return the next morning. But when they came back, they were met with a heartbreaking sight.

“The next morning, someone stole her bed — the only comfort she had left,” Hall wrote. “She was frantic, going door to door, searching the block for her bed — for safety, for anything familiar.”

Sadly, not everyone in the neighborhood had the pup’s best interest at heart. And with her last bit of comfort gone, the dog vanished.

Thankfully, she had quiet guardian angels in the neighborhood — including a woman named Fatima, who went searching for the missing dog as soon as she got home from work.

“Thank God for Fatima,” Hall wrote. “She found her hiding under a house … because she had nowhere left to go.”

Fatima immediately contacted Hall, who hurried over with a humane trap. Sometimes these rescues can take hours — even days — but this time, the hungry, exhausted girl walked right in.

“She was starving,” Hall said.

Hall scooped her up and brought her straight to the vet. After confirming she was healthy, the team noticed a sweet detail in her coat — a perfect little heart-shaped marking near the base of her tail.

“That’s how she got her name: Amour,” Hall wrote. “Because she is pure love.”

Amour settled into a warm kennel for the night, finally safe. And Hall made a quiet promise: the little dog who lost the only thing she had would soon have a brand-new, soft bed of her very own — one no one would ever take from her again.

In the days since her rescue, Amour has begun to blossom. She isn’t in her forever home yet, but Hall is confident the right family will find her soon.

Until then, she’s giving Amour all the love she’s always deserved.

“Love is exactly what she’ll have from now on,” Hall wrote.
