  1. They were bred from the now instinct Molossus and trace their bloodlines to the Assyian War Dogs, a breed so fierce and mean, even their owners dared not pet them. That’s what amazes me so much about Boxers. They were bred as fighting and hunting dogs, but they are so laid back and inherently good with babies and children.

  2. We had a lady Boxer for 14 years, during that time l had 2 children. She was the most gentle lovely dog ever, we were careful at first, but there was no need. Miss her a lot!

  3. Gail McCallum can I just change the subject for a minute. You were truly blessed to have your boxer reach 15! My boy is almost 11, and I cherish every day with him, I prey he reaches 15, he is my world.

  4. Funny the worst dog bite I ever had was from a boxer, stitches in both hands. Was investigating this dog biting several people in the neighborhood when he came after me but that never has and will never change my love for the breed. I have owned 4 and they have all been the best dogs that I have ever adopted.
