Some people may say that it's too dangerous and risky to bring bring a baby into a home with a big dog…

…let alone letting the dog come anywhere near the baby, but dogs do make for loving, protective family members.

That's exactly the case here as Scout the Boxer gets introduced to and meets his newborn baby sister for the very first time! It's the sweetest thing ever!

    OMG! Do people never learn! Every week you hear about someone’s ‘lovely gentle dog’ tearing their baby to pieces! Why would you even risk it?!?!

    as with every pet – the owner is the key .. this owner is calm, sensible and very loving to the pet, so the pet does not feel jealous threatened or misplaced .. this owner needs a huge pat on the back for such a sensible calm and loving introduction … well done you :0)

    I’m sorry…but never would I have a dog so close to a new born baby, it only take seconds for that dog to attack…and no one should ever assume that because it’s your dog, that it won’t happen. Look at the boxers face and her holding the collar…just in case! That boxer is a strong and the strength it would take to hold the dog off of the baby would never happen! Stupid, stupid, stupid…think people!

    All true pet owners, know their dog. The people who treat their dog like a child. I think this is a beautiful video. I would love to see updates every 6 months with this child and dog.

    Boxers’ instinct kicks into Overdrive where infants, toddlers and children are concerned. Thst ovrrdrive is called protection. Their ability to protect and love in the gentlest way is uncanny! Boxers are often known as “Gentle Giants” and the live up to that statement. And I believe it because it is true. This little one is extra blessed because of their Boxer.

    Never in my life heard of a boxer hurting a baby or toddler. Best breed ever to have with children!!!! We have four kids a two boxers along with my parents who have a boxer. Our kids have many protectors.
