As popular a breed that they are, there are commonly known facts about Boxers that we expect people to know already…

For example, most people already know that the Boxer is a breed of medium-sized, short-haired dogs developed in Germany, and that their coat is smooth and tight-fitting; colors are fawn or brindled, with or without white markings, which may cover the entire body, and white, etc.

However, did you know that Boxers are a mix between an old British Bulldog and the now-extinct Bullendeisser? Also, did you know that Boxers were first bred in Germany during the mid-1800s as butcher dogs… that they also became one of the first Military Dogs?!

    Border Collie’s are a one person dog but I loved my Boxer’s too as I worked in a Boxer Kennerl,a relative of mine thought you waited until after their season was over for two weeks before mating them LOL LOL LOL

    I have had 5 boxers! They are the best with children. My 12 yr old boxer passed last year after being a nanny to my 10 yr old granddaughter! She was so protective and loving. I miss her everyday. I now have a 1 yr old male and a 5 month old female. Love these dogs!

    We have lost Two of our Boxers over the last almost ten yrs! Our oldest pup is a thirteen yr old Boxer and he still at times he seems like a puppy! Our other Boxer will be six in July and she is a bossy punk!
