Adorable Dog School Bus Picks Up Pups for Daily Park Adventures

In Calgary, Alberta, one special bus is turning heads — and it’s not the usual yellow school bus packed with kids. Instead, it’s a powder-blue ride full of wagging tails and excited barks.

Meet the Ruff and Puff bus, a one-of-a-kind canine shuttle that picks up dogs from their homes and whisks them off to a private park for fun, exercise, and a little mischief.

“As soon as they hear the bus coming, a lot of them run to the window,” said Denzel Morrison, founder of Ruff and Puff. “They know what time it is — they’re so excited to go.”

Morrison launched the service in 2020 after watching a video of someone transporting dogs in a van and thinking, That actually looks like the best job in the world.

He got himself a school bus, customized it for canine passengers with safety harnesses and gated seating, and Ruff and Puff was born.

Now, he and his teammate Becky spend their days picking up a rotating pack of furry friends and heading out for daily off-leash adventures.

You can watch some of their adventures here:

Warm days mean splashy trips to local water parks, while snowy weather turns the park into a wonderland of zoomies and tail wags.

After about an hour of running wild, the dogs hop back onto the bus — sleepy, happy, and ready for one last treat.

“We grab Puppuccinos before heading home,” Morrison said. “After that, they’re out cold.”

Ruff and Puff has become more than just a transportation service — it’s a rolling doggy day camp. Birthdays are celebrated on board, friendships form, and every ride is an adventure.

Best of all, Morrison wouldn’t trade it for anything. “Just seeing their faces light up when they see the bus,” he said, “that makes my day.”
