Dog best friends were dumped at a shelter, and they can’t stop hugging each other

Dog best friends Adonis and Apollo were dumped at a high kill shelter in Texas, and they couldn’t stop hugging each other.

Cindy Droogmans, founder of the A-Team Elite Rescue Dogs, a group that rescues needy dogs from overcrowded shelters, heard about the dogs and took them to her veterinarian in Huntington, New York.

Cindy assumes the best friends were abandoned for being heartworm positive, like lots of dogs in Texas. But they’re now receiving full treatment.

Adonis and Apollo are inseparable, and that will make it even harder for them to find a forever home. But someone out there is surely willing to take on double the responsibility for these sweet dogs!

“A bonded pair is always difficult to place, but look at them,” said Cindy. “How can they ever be split up?”

  1. Gorgeous pups. All the best ❤

How infuriating. Here in Australia, there’s medicine which costs ~$18/mnth to prevent heartworm (and ticks, lice, intestinal worm, etc). Why would you become a pet guardian if you can’t take accept that responsibility??!!?? Ppl should require a license to guardian pets. Too many are not worthy.
