Lou the Italian Greyhound had a very rough life. A victim of animal abuse, he arrived at the shelter very scared, alone, and extremely timid. The shelter workers recognized his broken spirit and knew that he deserved a very happy ending.

That’s just what this sweetheart of a dog received in the form of a loving new family. The first thing they did was introduce Lou to their Bulldog, Buddha.

Buddha and Lou became the best of pals and shared their days playing and hanging out.

Together, the duo visited the beach, at The Hamptons, and that’s where Lou’s shining personality began to emerge.

The sun, the ocean air, the birds flying, and the waves crashing were exactly what Lou needed to experience.

He took it all in, basked in the sun, and slowly emerged from his emotional shell.

Lou let go of his trauma and took in his new life. He let the happiness soak in with the sun.

After a long deserving day at the beach, Lou came home, plopped down in his bed, and drifted to sleep– finally content.

Those aren’t tears in our eyes, by the way, it’s just some allergies…
