What would you say are the pros and cons of a Bernese Mountain Dog?
Pros: Gentle, loving, loyal, snuggler, sweet, smart, adorable. Cons: Hair, hair and more hair everywhere. Strong, overly excited when guests arrive and can be intimidating due to size.

PRO's: Everything!! Always by your side wanting affection or attention. Listens to everything I say and does exactly as she is told. Great with people and children. Only needs a bath once a year! CONS: She hates bathes lol And if you're not use to vacuuming everyday, better start now! She ONLY drools when she is watching people eat.

Pros: gentle, intelligent, beautiful, lovers, friendly, great with kids and other pets, not high energy. Cons: don't love long enough, can be stubborn when training but this phase passes when out of adolescence.

The pros of having a Bernese Mountain Dog are that they are absolutely loving and fun. They are big goof balls. They are also very people oriented and need to be with thier families. The only con I see is that they do not live as long as other breeds and some do not live past three or four years old. You get so attached to your Bernie.
