Rescuers Rush To Help Dog Found Chained To Railing Beside A Box Of Tiny Puppies

Late one night, volunteer rescuer Arturo Flores got a call that made his heart stop. Someone had found a dog tied to a railing in a dark alley — and beside her, a cardboard box with two tiny puppies inside.

When Flores arrived minutes later, the heartbreaking scene came into focus. The poodle mix lay motionless on the cold ground, her leash pulled so tight around her neck that he could barely slip a finger beneath it.

She was covered in fleas, defeated, waiting and waiting for someone who was never coming back, wrote Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy 29.

Beside her, the two little puppies — no more than a few weeks old — circled their exhausted mom, crying softly. Flores quickly freed the frightened mother and scooped up her babies. The small family was rushed straight to Camino Pet Hospital, where veterinarians immediately began treatment.

“All three of them were crawling with fleas — so many, they were literally jumping off,” Hall said.

Warm baths and gentle care soon transformed the family. As the fleas washed away, the mama’s tired eyes began to soften.

Mama looks like a whole new dog,” Hall wrote. “Her spirit is slowly shining through.”

The mother, now named Infinity and Beyond, and her pups, Axel and Buzz, were placed in a loving foster home. With each passing day, their confidence and joy began to bloom.

Infinity, once chained and hopeless, now runs and plays like a puppy herself — her tail wagging freely for the first time in who knows how long.

“She’s so beautiful, so strong, and finally free from the pain of her past,” Hall said. “All those long days and nights of lying in an alley protecting her babies are over.”

A month later, the trio is thriving. The puppies are healthy, playful, and nearly ready for adoption. Infinity and Beyond has learned to trust again, soaking up the love she once only dreamed of.

“From abandoned and forgotten to cherished and safe,” Hall wrote, “this is the power of rescue — the power of second chances.”
