Freezing Puppy Found Shivering In The Rain Finally Learns What Love Feels Like

On a cold, rainy day in Bali, Selina Dey spotted a tiny figure huddled beside a set of stone stairs. As she got closer, her heart dropped — it was a puppy, trembling so violently that she could barely lift her head.

“I’ve never touched a puppy that cold, to be honest,” Dey shared in a video for The Dodo.

The little pup, later named Zeina, was curled into the damp moss, her fragile body nearly giving out from the chill. Dey scooped her up without hesitation and rushed straight to the vet.

“She was ice cold,” Dey said. “Literally, the vet said a couple hours longer and she wouldn’t have made it.”

Wrapped in blankets and gently rubbed back to life, Zeina finally began to warm up. For what might have been the very first time, she was safe.

“Literally, the vet said a couple hours longer and she would’ve not made it,” Dey said.

But Zeina wasn’t alone. When Dey returned to the spot where she’d found her, she discovered the puppy’s mom — a gentle dog later named Pamela.

Locals told Dey that Pamela had only given birth to one pup, making Zeina her only baby. With care and patience, Dey was able to bring Pam to safety too.

“They recognized each other instantly,” Dey said. “It was super cute.”

Now fostering both mom and daughter, Dey has watched them blossom into completely different dogs. Zeina, once fragile and near death, has grown into a spirited little troublemaker who keeps her mom on her toes. Pamela, too, has gained her strength back, and together they’re thriving.

“Zeina is a little rascal,” Dey laughed. “She completely transformed.”

Today, both Pam and Zeina are happy, healthy — and ready to find a forever home where they can continue their journey together.
