Even though it’s been over 15 years, most of us can remember September 11th like it was yesterday. It was a time of great sorrow for our country, but also a time of patriotism and unity. Americans from all walks of life came together to show the world that no matter what happens, we are a country that stands together.
American brand Budweiser was no exception to this patriotism, airing a commercial so emotional it brought grown men to tears.
The patriotic commercial shows Budweiser’s signature Clydesdales making their way through New York City. They pass the Statue of Liberty, cross the Brooklyn Bridge, and finally pause in a park overlooking the city’s skyline.
The commercial ends on an emotional note, showing the Clydesdales bowing their heads in respect – a tribute to where the Twin Towers once stood. Watch the video below to see the original version!

Probably pulled the advert that they realised they were advertising on the backend of multiple murders through terrorism. Yes it’s a nice sentiment but really to try and sell more beer, it’s just not the best

I didn’t see it as a beer ad–more as a way of paying respect and saying we are all in this together. I have always thought this a very touching ad.

Why ? Why was this pulled off the air… a real tribute, amazing what the horses could do…I don’t understand. This day should be respected by everyone and ‘people’ taught these beautiful horses to show respect…

It was not “pulled” Budweiser only intended to air the add once. They did not want it to appear they were capitalizing on this horrific tragedy. Why that was not included in this particular article is puzzling.

Patricia, it was only aired once because Anheiser Bush did not want to make money off the commercial, but simply wanted it to be a tribute to 9/11. Such a beautiful gesture from such a big, well known company!!!

Haydee Leto yes sad I don’t think it was capitalizing on this devastating tragedy I still found it super respectful.. but just my opinion.. 🙁 NO one will ever forget, it impacted so many so unnecessarily. That devastated millions worldwide and will always haunt us.. 🙁 Respect to all 🙁

It was pulled because Budweiser didn’t want to profit from the message being sent. It is an amazing commercial and I cry too every time I see it.
