  1. I don’t agree ever with “buying” a dog. I never would pay someone money for one when shelters are filled with plenty that need homes. But, that’s my feeling and others are entitled to theirs too. Lots of the dogs you are speaking of in shelters were puppies, probably purchased, then thrown away when they grow up. Or once the owner realises it’s more work than meets the eye. Responsible breeding doesn’t equal successful homing of the animal. But I’m not saying people should let dogs run around breeding all over either. I just said you were a hater because you immediately turned this into something negative. Mutt owner’s should be able to be proud just as purebred owners, as Dusty said. It doesn’t mean it’s being glamorized just because people find mixed breeds cute too!

  2. Responsible breeders, real breeders have litters purchased years in advanced , with screened receiptants.. With written contracts , usually with a return policy.. I respect your opinion , but your talking with a life long breeder, dog trainer , and owner .. I have shown boxers , owned pit bulls , Dobermans, and Rottweiler .. I know a little bit about the real dog world.. I’m not knocking rescues , I applaud their efforts but you seem to be missing the big picture ..

  3. I had a Rotterbox…responsiblr Rottweiler breeder had a Boxer stud jump her fence. She took care in placing the pups. GREAT dog…silly, but laid back. Loved to 14. The breeder’s misfortune was my blessing! RIP Zeus
