While every dog breeds needs human interaction, there are some that are a little bit more independent than others.
Every dog is an individual, but certain dogs were bred to work alongside humans all day long, such as herding and hunting dogs, and others were used for solitary work, such as guard dogs.
Many breeds do fine with regular amounts of human love and attention, but some are a little bit more high-maintenance in this area.
#1 – Australian Shepherd
The Australian Shepherd is, despite its name, an American dog breed originally used for ranch dogs.
The breed is still actively used as stock dogs today, either on working farms or competing in herding sports, and does best with an active and attentive owner.
They are intelligent, driven dogs that excel at many dog sports such as agility and obedience. This breed does not do well when left alone for extended periods of time and is prone to separation anxiety.

Working class dog breeds require much more attention due to the fact that they are smart and need to be put to work or they get bored and frustrated.. They demand much more attention in a way that helps them to be the best breeds on earth! When they have a good pack leader.. you could not ask for a better trained dog as a working dog.. they are apt to learning much more than any other breed… i may be biased but dobes, malinois, shepherds and border collies are up there in smarts.. Its not that their hair requires attention.. Its their focus and drive.. if not trained correctly it can backfire in the long run.. so they require a lot of attention that way they don’t go to crate detention.. if you scold a working dog and crate them.. it causes more anxiety for them to be in their home environment.. all dogs need a stimulant and redirection in order to achieve and maintain pack order! Dobermans have taught me how to train most all dogs.. They want to be trained and challenged! Thats why they are the best class of breed.. If you. Cannot find motivation to run.. buy a doberman!

Thats not called attention.. those are maintenance issues.. when a dog demands attention and seeks out a response of approval or disapproval constantly as his/her test… thats considered in the highest category of attention..

You don’t think coming out an Afghan or a Standard Poodle is attention? Volunteer someplace and try it sometime. Attention seeking is an individual trait in most breeds and yes, you’re right. A working breed will need work to do or it will find its own, and it may not be ‘work’ the owner wants done.
