  1. 1/3 – 1/4 of a cup twice a day is perfect for a 11-14 lb dachshund. For dogs, hard food is much, much healthier than soft food. Soft food is a major cause of ruining dogs teeth. It’s opposite in cats lol when my girl was on her regular diet she was down to a perfect 11 lbs. we moved in with mom a year ago and they free feed their doxies (BAD IDEA) and now she’s up to almost 15lbs!! She has a lot of muscle though 🙂

  2. I walk my dog (pug) for even ten minutes and he’s already panting like he is about to have a heart attack. He has gained weight but I get scared of all the heat stroke stuff (I live in Texas). How can I tell he is breathing hard from being tired or breathing hard because he I over heating?

  3. If he wants to sit when you walk its cuz hes tired , hot , or have hearth problem. Give him better food , real food , vedgetable fruits fish chicken and he have to run. Run with him a little everyday. Nothing else you can do exept exercise. Thats the only way to be healthy
