    I just said goodbye to my Louie, chihuahua on 11/29/2015. Gotta admit, hardest thing I’ve ever done. I never had children, so to me, he was more than a dog!! I was truly blessed to have had him for almost 17 years! We had a Doctor come to our home and gently help him to cross over while he was in my loving arms. I will love him and miss him all the days of my life! Sleep peacefully my sweet Louie

    We lost our only “son” and my first child (although now I have three beautiful daughters) while we were out of town visiting family, along with our almost one year old second child, My pug got hit by a car and another car that witnessed it took him to the nearest vet ER , my brother in law came and stayed by his side at the ER the entire time until he passed, he is now buried in the backyard with his him and dad. That was by far one of the Hardest things to deal with while not being at home him. He was very much loved, and still missed like crazy….but We now have a German Shepherd after four long years…and we will NEVER leave him at home when we go to visit family or on a trip!!!

    I had to give my dachschund a big hug after reading this. She suffered a back injury and was left completely paralysed from the waist down a few years ago. We couldn’t afford the operation but after months of nursing she improved slowly but surely. She runs a bit like a drunken piglet now but she can move fast when she wants to! I admire her will power so much as ultimately it was her that had the fight to get her legs working again. Even though she is old before her time (only 9 years old) and is now having seizures I treasure every single minute I have with her and nothing would keep me from being by her side when the time comes to say goodbye, even though it will break my heart.
