20 Things All Dog Owners Must Never Forget

It's been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, ain't that the truth!

Here are some of our favorite dog quotes that are short and to the point, but that really conveyed how we felt about dogs, and why we do what we do here at PawBuzz:

“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”
“Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Inside of a dog it’s too dark to read.”
“Whoever said diamonds are a girl’s best friend never owned a dog.”
“Unconditional love is as close as your nearest shelter.”
“What a beautiful world it would be if people had hearts like dogs.”
“In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog.”

a dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself – Josh Billings

Sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome dog owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. I lost my 7 year old American Bulldog to heart failure two weeks ago. Being with him while he crossed the rainbow bridge was one of the hardest things I have ever done. But there is no where else I could have been. He was a wonderful companion and he deserved to know how much I loved him until his very last moment.

  2. I sat on the floor and cradled my beautiful boy as he passed away. He had been there through all my teenage angst, listened to all my worries and been such a loyal friend. 25 years have gone past and I miss him still. Bitza you got into my heart and you have never left. No.20 has made me cry

  3. Ya I give all to my dogs thelove n care #20 I’ve done that n it’s tough. Had to let go of my best friend Haley Star Comet after 9 years n 7 mths. She had Addison n I held her till her very last breath and heart beat.. Still brings me too tears even after 8 years .. She went everywhere with me even into homedepot Lowes with me stayed at my heels (only weighed 11 lbs) into the store n out to truck

  4. I just lost my 12 year old Bella last week. She had an$#%&!@*gland tumor. She took off and was gone in the woods for a week…I mourned her… then we found her alive. Then she declined severely, disoriented, putting head in corners, pressing head against walls, then finally wouldn’t eat even her favorite foods. I had to end her suffering and had her put down a week ago today. I mourned her twice. I can’t imaging going through that with a 5 year young baby. Prayers for healing.
