20 Things All Dog Owners Must Never Forget

It's been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, ain't that the truth!

Here are some of our favorite dog quotes that are short and to the point, but that really conveyed how we felt about dogs, and why we do what we do here at PawBuzz:

“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”
“Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Inside of a dog it’s too dark to read.”
“Whoever said diamonds are a girl’s best friend never owned a dog.”
“Unconditional love is as close as your nearest shelter.”
“What a beautiful world it would be if people had hearts like dogs.”
“In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog.”

a dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself – Josh Billings

Sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome dog owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. I was there until the end when our loving Chino had to leave this world. My son held his head in his lap as our Vet made him comfortable on the floor with a blanket. I stroked his back to make him comfortable. He was so peaceful as if he knew what was happening. When it was over, I cried like a baby. It’s the worst feeling in the world and I couldn’t bear to get another dog. Needless to say, we got another Rotti two weeks later, and Hans is another amazing Rotti with so much personality. I love him so much. I would never get any other dog.

  2. Just lost my little peanut 6 days ago. I am so so heartbroken but I had him by my side that whole last week. I did not know he was going but he was sick. I was torn and could not put him down. Being the good boy he was he died in the night since I would not have to make that decision. Miss him so much.

  3. My pug died in Feb. of Milk Bine Brushing chews. He was 10 and would have been 11 in April on my birthday. He was my best friend and miss him so much. He died in my arms at the vet. He took s piece of my heart and tell him every night to his memorial picture I love him. He sent me my new baby pug couple months after and he is such a sweet little pug. Pugs are the best!

  4. My friends think I’m crazy because I treat my boy like they treat their children. So as I’ve explained to them, I only have about 10-12 years to give him the love you have a lifetime to give to your kids.
