20 Things All Pug Owners Must Never Forget

What some call ugly others might call irresistibly cute! The Pug has turned into one of the most popular dogs in the United States.

These lovable dogs with wrinkly, short-muzzled faces and curled tails are often described as a lot of dogs in a small space.

Sometimes playful and clownish, sometimes calm and dignified, always sturdy and stable, good-humored and amiable — that is the Pug.

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Pugs are no exception!

But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Pug owners must never forget.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Pug owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. Oh Billy I have 2 9 year olds and I cry when I think I have to part with them as they are my world, but reading yours was 15 and I saw a post the other day and the baby had reached 18 years of age before she passed away and I pray each day mine even live longer. Sometimes I wish I could go before them.

  2. Mine is a sister from another mother by the sounds of it. No off switch and her 9 year brother and sister get frustrated with her high energy but she is only 7 months old so I hope she quietens down as she get older. She is so smart and is also a big smarty pants and knows how to rile me and press my buttons.

  3. True, my old boy Harvey is 9, he has never chased a ball but Lexi 9 months old retrieves balls and has done since she was 7 weeks. On the weekend I threw the ball for her to fetch and he ran and got the ball and brought it back and dropped at my feet. He only did it twice then wouldnt do it again. Not sure if he picked it up from Lexi or he knew how to do it all the time but wouldnt……………….because he didnt want to.

  4. Jenne Alderton yes he is the smallest of all 3 but the other 2 know he is leader of the pack and not to cross him. he is such a living boy and really protects Milli if Lexi is annoying her and will warn her off because Milli is so placid. He is very stubborn and at night when it bedtime her will do a really slow walk outside and sometimes takes 2 minutes to walk 5 metres from the loungeroom mat where they lay to their kennel just outside the door. He takes slow motion lollipop steps but he is extremely obedient and seems to understand everything I say.
