One of the best dogs for children of all ages, Labrador Retrievers are kindly, good-natured, and take most things in stride.
Most Labrador Retrievers are very friendly with everyone, though compared to Golden Retrievers, many Labs are just a bit more conservative with their affections.
It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Labrador Retrievers are no exception!
But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Lab owners must never forget.
If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Labrador owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…
Check out the 20 Things All Labrador Owners Must Never Forget on the next page:

I held my Annie’s face and we stared at each other until she passed. I wanted her to know I was there with her and I wanted to be the last person she saw. She was 15.3 years old and tried so hard to stay on this green earth longer but she was in too much pain. This day happened two years ago December 20th and I miss her more than words can say. She was protective of me to a fault. Diana

#19 and 20 hit home but the toughest was seeing my baby girl suffer from cancer and being by her side as we sent her to Rainbow Bridge. Over 2 years ago and I still miss her so. Such a great dog.

Toby, our Yellow Labrador shared our lives from when he was 8 weeks old, until I was with him when he passed away aged nine years and that was over 20 years ago and I would do it all again. So pleased I accompanied him on his final journey, a comfort to him and to me, and I know he is waiting with me at the Rainbow Bridge.
