20 Things All Labrador Owners Must Never Forget

One of the best dogs for children of all ages, Labrador Retrievers are kindly, good-natured, and take most things in stride.

Most Labrador Retrievers are very friendly with everyone, though compared to Golden Retrievers, many Labs are just a bit more conservative with their affections.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Labrador owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. Love these 20 things. The last one is the saddest. Dexter is my 4th lab, he is a chocolate one. Before him I had 3 yellow ones, all gorgeous but left us too soon. Dexter is 7 now and I’m already worrying about his final years. Hopefully he’ll enjoy a very long life.

  2. 20 made me cry , i was with 2 of my labs to the end it was devastating but would not have it any other way love them to bits and still miss them , have a 8 year old lab now and yes i start to worry already !

  3. I’ve been with all my dogs at the end over the years. My chocolate lab, Bosco, is now eight years old. He still acts like a puppy and still healthy. Hopefully for a long while he will be with me.

  4. I love this! Our Black Lab Louie passed away last February! I think about him everyday and miss that adorable furry child. My Chocolate Lab Charlie is two years old and full of$#%&!@*and loves life! So therefore, iknow he will have and enjoy a long life like Louie did!

  5. Love my girls…my first two labs..my previous was a springer whom i was with till the end…so very important. Though my labs are harder work,i would not part with them for anything…my babies

  6. My sweet Molly is almost ten. She’s been a diabetic for two years. She’s doing well, but I pray for the wisdom and grace to know when it’s “time”. We love her to bits!
