The Siberian Husky is a beautiful dog that is free-spirited and (usually) good-natured with everyone. He is very playful, athletic, agile, and light on his feet. He loves the great outdoors and requires vigorous exercise, especially in cool weather.
He should be taken running, hiking, and/or biking every day, always on-leash, for he is independent and born to run. If something catches his interest, he'll be gone. Teaching him to pull carts and sleds gives him a purpose in life.
It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Huskies are no exception!
But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Husky owners must never forget.
If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Husky owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…
Check out the 20 Things All Husky Owners Must Never Forget on the next page:

My Sasha. She has my heart. A rescue. She couldn’t be left alone at all for the first 6 months we had her… Totally worth the effort to rehab her- she’s a gem.

My Furr Baby Storm. A rescue we found in Houston in 2005 before Hurricane Rita. He is approximately 12 years old now. His personality keeps me and my husband laughing all the time. I don’t need to go to a comedy show, I just need to sit at home with my Storm, much more entertaining.

They pull by nature, I used a harness that tightens up, not choking him. Everytime he pulled, we stopped and I made him sit till he cooled down. But huskies are huskies, mine still does it from time to time if he really wants to leave his number on something

Same here I use a full harness. They respond much better and dogs in general respond to a harness over a collar… when you pull back on it, it stops there entire body and pulls on the chest instead of the neck
