The Siberian Husky is a beautiful dog that is free-spirited and (usually) good-natured with everyone. He is very playful, athletic, agile, and light on his feet. He loves the great outdoors and requires vigorous exercise, especially in cool weather.

He should be taken running, hiking, and/or biking every day, always on-leash, for he is independent and born to run. If something catches his interest, he'll be gone. Teaching him to pull carts and sleds gives him a purpose in life.

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Huskies are no exception!

But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Husky owners must never forget.

    I love my husky with all my being he is my fifth child, I’ve wanted and waited 28 years , since childhood to have one and now I don’t know how I coped without one . I’ve had and got other dogs but without sounding horrible my husky is my world such a wonderful dog 100% perfect for me and he says I’m 100% perfect for him 🙂 . Love to all those husky and animal lovers out there xx

    We have 3 and have done for many years, we have been through #19 & 20 a couple of times and our oldest is now nearly 14 so yes we will be there again soonish. I can’t imagine my life without the gentle nudges in the morning (how do they know it’s 5am during winter and summer!!) or the choir of woo woo’s when they want attention ….. they are certainly not the easiest dogs to have but for us they are the only ones 🙂

    I have a female who just turned 14. She was diagnosed with advanced stage liver cancer 14 months ago and the Vet said that she had between three to five months to live. To this day she is still going strong and looking better than last year.

    My best friend ever Max “Wolfie”. We lost him Saturday after 16 years and life will never be the same. #20 is SO SO true. It was the hardest moment but but so important to both of us.

    hi Tainia….we were so fortunate to have so many years. I would say that constant ear rubs, kisses, and lots of hikes are the ingredients to longevity. Keya is absolutely gorgeous, I wish you much happiness for a long long time. Thank you
