Boxers are silly, sweet and mischievous. They clown around with family and friends, are patient and playful with children, but show a deliberate and wary face to strangers, responding with unmatched courage to anything that threatens their loved ones. Those characteristics are why people love them.
It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Boxers are no exception!
But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Boxer owners must never forget.
If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Boxer owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…
Check out the 20 Things All Boxer Owners Must Never Forget on the next page:

#20 is definitely the saddest for me, I was on a fishing trip when my boy suddenly passed with no warning. I wasn’t even there for him. Still stings me to this day, I know it’s not mine or his fault, but I still wish I could have been there for him that last day.

We are a Boxer family. We’ve had 6. Had 4 for many years, Father, Son, grandson and Great Grand daughter. The middle two passed away on their own at middle age, both having various forms of cancer. The oldest and youngest lived long lives, so #’s 19 and 20 were difficult to read. I totally cried. The Mother that started this family died at 5 of cancer. We now have Buster Brown who we rescued at 1 year. He is now 5. He really seems like he is part of our lineage. We surround Buster in love every day, remembering the love of our other 5 Boxers. It’s so hard to lose them, but I continually remind myself that the love they give us and we give them outweighs the Lise, for they are forever in our hearts. Now I’m crying again. Love Boxers.

We have 2 boxers and the 3 year old is recovering from TPLO stabilization surgery so he’s being restricted to the house which is really hard for him. His sister wants to play and she has to be so careful not to hurt her brother..it’s a challenge so we are giving them extra love, attention and lots of treats. The hard part is Happy loves to go with his Dad in the truck and he can’t do that so he looks really sad when Dad has to go out even if it’s for a few minutes !
