20 Things All Boston Terrier Owners Must Never Forget

Boston Terriers are known for being very intelligent — sometimes too much so.

Their lively, affectionate nature makes them extremely lovable, though their sometimes stubborn nature or spurts of hyperactivity can land them in hot water with their owners.

Any angst about their behavior, however, soon melts when they look up at you with those huge, round eyes that seem to say “I love you.”

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Boston Terriers are no exception!

But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Boston Terrier owners must never forget.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Boston Terrier owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. Just had to put my girl to sleep in Nov. hurt so much. I now have a 5 mth old puppy. Love him so much but will always miss my little girl. Hardest decision I ever had to make besides making the decision to put my lab down cause of sickness.

  2. Aw I love my baby she’s our spoiled girl. But she gets time out for 1-3 minutes if she misbehaves Bad. It’s actually funny Bc she knows and goes to crate lays down and we’ve taught her to give sorry kisses and we hug and kiss and praise her. She is really good but tries the growling thing and that is a no go. Today she was funny Bc she growled at both of us realized uh oh I said go to your house. The walk was so funny I put blanket over so I couldn’t laugh… Well she poked her head out and stared me down … It was longest 39 second time out. Then we got kisses and as she does every night she is on pillows with head on my leg . I love my baby she will be 2 in a couple days . Anyone that is blessed with a Boston knows they love their ppl. And you need to catch bad habits fast Bc they learn so fast. And when you lose one it tears your heart apart.

  3. We had 9 year old Boston terrier she was so special until one night big sezuire wouldn’t stop it come and go. She wasn’t same dog anymore. Couldn’t hear or see. We cuddle up night with her on recliner make her relax til vet in am. Vet couldn’t do anything get her back. We had put her sleep. My fiancee stay with her and hold her til last breath. It broke her heart badly

  4. I love all 4 of my Bostons but my Yoda has a special bond with me, he’s my best friend, constant companion, protector and guardian I’ll have to cross the Rainbow Bridge with him when the time comes..it will kill me to not have him here

  5. I cried the entire way through it, especially the last one. I have never given my pets to anyone else to put to sleep. I have always held them, the hardest thing you can ever do. So sorry Jessica and Meagan and anyone else how has ever lost a pet especially a BT

  6. This is my baby Clara. She is two and has lost her eye sight already. I will do what ever I have to for her. I could never imagine my life without her in it or my six year old Frenchie. They are my babes.

  7. Best dogs in the world…hands down. We have a 7 year old male. His name is Gus. Been thinking about getting another but a little fearful that he won’t like another in the house. Anyone had this experience and did it work out?

  8. Worked out for us Buster was having heart problems and we knew he wouldn’t be long for us so we got maggie, took maggie to the vet when I had to have Buster put to sleep and I think his spirit entered hers she acts just like him and loves her daddy just like Buster loved me, I know it sounds strange but I believe he is still with me only through maggie
