19 Reasons Why Bulldogs Are The Worst Dogs To Live With

Oh Bulldogs… the breed that has become one of the most popular of all dog breeds in the United States (and among celebrities)…

Is it because of their docile, friendly, willful, gregarious personality? or all of the above?

Sociable and sweet, but with a reputation for courage that makes him an excellent watchdog, the Bulldog is a lover, not a fighter. He's dignified rather than lively and has a kind although occasionally stubborn nature.

The Bulldog is friendly and easygoing; he gets along with everyone. He can be a slow learner, but once he knows something, he's got it for good.

Bulldogs don't tend to be barkers. Usually their appearance alone is enough to frighten off intruders.

But as popular as they’ve become, you might be shocked to know that they are the worst dogs to live with… and there are 19 reasons for it.

  1. Joseph Aiello there are two types of raw for dogs. One is plant and meat based. The other is called prey raw diet. I tried the plant and meat based but my dog didn’t like it so I went to prey raw and he loves it. When we say raw diet that’s exactly what it means. We do not cook the meats. You don’t need to cut it up or debone. My beagle pup has a beef allergy which sucks but he eats lots of chicken, lamb, duck, rabbit, fish etc. he eats chicken or lamb for dinner. He prefers the chicken drum or leg. I just cut the drum or leg off the chicken then throw it to him lol. He eats either on my porch or on his food mat so that no blood or anything gets on my floor. He likes lamb ribs so I will give him half rack of that for dinner also. For breakfast he normally chooses what he wants. He often chooses rabbit or duck and normally eats the whole thing. I do buy them at the butcher so they are defeathered and skinned. You don’t have to do it that way but it makes it easier for the dog. If you feed fish you must thoroughly debone. Fish is the only one you have to remove the bones to and that’s because they are so tiny they could possibly get lodged in the throat if they swollow one. Yes, you can feed raw chicken bone lol. I’ve had many ask this and or think it’s the same as cooked chicken bone and it is not. Raw bones including chicken are very pliable and easy to break down. My dog is small (pocket beagle) and he had never had any issues breaking down his bones well. Actually it’s also safer to feed raw bones than the cooked bones you can buy at the pet stores. Some people think dogs will get food Bourne illnesses but this is also a myth. A dogs digestive system is actually designed to eat raw (even rotting) meats. They have short digestive tracts so things don’t sit around in there long enough to get salmonella etc. they also have antibacterial properties in their saliva as well as their digestive systems. So this is why they can eat raw meats with no problems. If you choose to do the plant and meat based raw you can google raw diets and get lots of info on how to do this. I’ve had lots of people who are not educated about raw diets give me a hard time so you’ll have to expect to deal with that but I just tell people now that if they want to know about raw they can research it themselves. My vet loves that I raw feed my dog. He’s very very healthy and will have a longer healthier life.

  2. Also a dogs teeth are not made to eat kibble. They are designed to crush and chew bone and rip tough meats. My vet says that nearly every dog she sees has buildup on their teeth from kibble and canned dog foods. My dog has none. He has very pearly white treeth and the bones and meats help to keep them very clean. Hope all this helps. It’s a pretty simple diet and yes it costs a bit more but I’ve found the best way to do it is going to local butcher and meat shops and asking for stuff in bulk, asking for scraps. They’ll normally give you their scraps for free or very reduced price for a bin. So it often contains hearts, livers, feet things like that. All of which dogs can and do eat.

  3. Joseph Aiello also Joseph I forgot to mention if you decide to go raw you should do it slowly as your dogs body has to adjust after eating starches for so long. So I started with one meal a day for 7-10 days then both meals. I think that’s what most do when switching also.

  4. I just had my Granddog Bully with me for a week, he was my Best Pal, until his Daddy came to get him last night! Then he didn’t pay me any mind!! HA I miss him this morning! What awesome dogs they are!
