Ask any dachshund owner and they'll all tell you, without exception, that there’s no other dog worth owning. Dachshunds are not only one of the most popular breeds in America, but also one of the most loved today.

But why are these Sausage dogs (a.k.a. Weiner dogs, Doxies, Dashies, etc.) so popular today? Is it their irresistible sausage body, stubby legs and waving tails? or their bravery and loyalty to their humans?

The stubborn characteristics of dachshunds (making them a little difficult to train) can be traced back to those days spent learning and evolving into being great underground hunters. If they were easily swayed, they couldn’t have survived.

    my mixed breed seven momth pup fmale lucy has chiauau n doxie of her mom n also bassett hound beagle breeds of her dad n she is my luv she loves napping under my bed or in hers is crate trained does well to crate when is told to is crated at pm and when we need to in day time she is very quiet n small at twelve pounds and is to soon be eight months old come june too and has a nine pm bed crate time n sleeps thru pm til we both r up to pee three am then she is re crated for pm n usualy will get up five am or six am to stay up if she is up at five am is pottied n crated til six am ill then put her in our big fenced in back yard or will at six if she gets up to stay up hen n at six thirty am mom tends to her feeds her in am lucy my puppy loves rawhide bones and is real happy and sweet n nature some silly too very smart n has a big brother dog here our tall airdale n half black lab mix male dog curley named fo the curley wavey airdales soft hair he is solid black like a lab very laid back like the lab dang brave strong tough smart is dads retired hog hunter dog has been cut by the hogs many times n has had staples n stitches for the injuries he got from them n has yet to yelp or cry i know it made him hurt tho he is so tough like that n very goofey our gentle giant i think his paws are very big too he had to get use to sharing the fenced in back yard he stay here in with my small sized lucy pup n her 12lb now at going eight month old n june size and he at first scared her she also wasnt use to hs tall big size tho now they are super with the other best buds he being so easy wih her and so laid back allows her to chew his ears in play and to climb all on him playing queen for she is fmale of his hill he the hill he just lays the and lets her climb all over him in play and as pups do she has a lot of hyper raw energie loves running in the back yard and to be out in it in the day time a lot with her brother dog curley n like a doxie or beagle can dig has caught killd her a gopher too here some kind of baby girl she is boh dogs n my cat are my fur kids n loves along with the three gold fish i also have here i love dogs first then cats then family n others n nature and above all this god may u have a blessed day
