12 Realities New Pug Owners Must Accept

As many existing Pug owners will tell you, pugs are a lot like big dogs that are trapped in small bodies.

pug-cute-puppy-eyes.jpgThey love to run around, play, have fun and are won’t back down from a fight despite their small size.

Pugs are clever and energetic little guys that can be quite a handful. They love getting attention and will pull off crazy stunts just to get some laughs from their human friends.

They are great at reading human emotions and can use what they know for their benefit. These clever dogs will use whatever they can to their advantage and will take over your household if you let them.

Overall they are adorable little guys that would make amazing pets for the right owners.

If you are considering to own a pug, or you've just become a new pug owner, there are some realities you do need to fully accept.

Check out the twelve realities new pug owners must accept on the next page! …and if you already are a pug owner, see if you can relate!

  1. George Oliver im so sorry! He’s gorgeous. Maybe he and Ms. Scarlett have met and are having a snorting good time! Rebecca Weaver he looks like a good snuggle buddy and is just precious! Kathie Macri Rodgers I also had a boy he was 10 when the kids suprised me with her. He was so animated. Its so hard as I loved and still do love them. I also have a 5 year old Boston, Max McKenzie. then a 4 year old long haired doxie, Cee’Lo Bean. 🙂 Cee’Lo is a puppy mill rescue. We did a puppy seizure a couple years ago and rescued 46 fur babies. We lost 4 but are blessed to have adopted all the others. Thank y’all!

  2. Emily impresses people while on a walk by running straight legged in a circle, with a big smile and eyes like dinner plates. She also loves watching tv and barks at anything with 4 legs, which means watching cesar milan impossible!!

  3. Jacqueline I’m sorry for your loss. I’m a week in with my new girl Josey. She’s 11 weeks old and has already taken over my life. Being a new pug owner, I truly hope I have 16 years with this sweet girl. They’re an amazing breed.

  4. My dog is now a senior dog and he’s been slowing down. But he likes to act like he can’t jump on our king size bed anymore. I have to pick him up so he can go to sleep. I caught him red handed yesterday. I saw him jump on the bed, grab a pillow and snuggle under the blankets. Really pug?! Really?! I’ll allow it. 🙂
