It descended from fighting mastiffs that were brought to the British Isles by the Romans and was used in a bloody sport called bullbaiting.

Today, however, the Bulldog only slightly resembles his ancestors in appearance. And all of the ferociousness that he exhibited in the bullbaiting pens? Gone for good.

Despite his still ferocious appearance, you'd be hard-pressed to find a dog with a sweeter, more loving disposition. They are friendly, social, calm, balanced, compassionate, stubborn, proud and persevering.

    Any English Bulldog you get that is less than that price is going to have problems and is likely going to come from a rescue. There’s a reason why they are in the rescue in the first place.

    IF you want a Bully, you need to have the financial resources to maintain their health. They are pretty much the most expensive dog there is to breed. So, if you want one, you’ll have to bite the bullet and spend the cash.

    Oh Jesse… So sorry. I worry about my bullies… Just almost 3… But the joy and love they bring me is amazing. God love him… Otis is such a good looking lil man! I am sure he was a good buddie.
