  1. Our Chihuahuas are very good with all people including small children. But ours have been very well socialised with everyone no matter what age and they love everybody. We take them to the wallmart in our area and have since we first got them at seven weeks. And yes to everything else. I wouldn’t trade my little boy for anything. No matter what kind of day I’m having he can always make me laugh.

  2. I wish people would NOT stereotype a breed-all chihuahuas are individuals with their own likes and dislikes-as a chihuahua mom to 6 chihuahuas I can tell you they are all different-and all are rescues. People do need to make sure they can make a lifetime commitment before bringing ANY dog into their lives-it is a sad fact that because of irresponsible people not spay/neutering and dumping their chihuahuas they are the second most killed breed in shelters,People PLEASE make sure you are willing to make a lifetime commitment before taking in any dog-and always remember there are lots of loving chihuahuas in shelters (through no fault of theirs) waiting for a forever home!

  3. So true, I didn’t realise the sofa licking thing was a Chi trait. Mine also dig sheets, blankets, pillows, the mattress and other soft furnishings. Don’t do any damage, just do it before settling down to sleep.

  4. Why is there a picture of a three year old holding a chihuahua? Sure they can pet them but they are not a good choice for homes with small children. They are too delicate. A reputable chihuahua breeder won’t even sell them to homes with children under twelve.

  5. My Chi is a therapy dog for my daughter and let me just say best choice i ever made. They are best friends and he will talk to me when something is wrong. I think Chi are the best dogs and i have mutiple children under 12

  6. This is her baby. And the flash made lil hearts in his eyes. I absolutly love these 2 together and thats her therapy dog….as soon as she twitchs funny hes on high alert and lets me know. Best choice i ever made. Reacued my hero

  7. I’m sure there are exceptions to the rule but it’s just a fact. Toddlers and young children are clumsy and poke and what have you. I won’t put my chihuahua down around children but I allow them to pet her I’m I’m holding her.
