A poor little puppy has been living in animal control since being rescued from an abusive owner. From the looks of him, it’s clear he was mistreated and abused.
The puppy is incredibly thin, and he’s completely petrified of humans. His big brown eyes say it all. They show a puppy who is lonely and longing for love and care.
In the video to follow, a woman from the charity group, A Place To Bark, records herself rescuing the puppy. It’s the very first time she has interacted with the pup, and the beginning footage is truly heartbreaking to watch.
The puppy backs up as far as he can into the corner when the gates open and the woman approaches. It’s immediately clear that this beautiful puppy needs to learn how to love and trust again.
The woman extends her hand forwards, beckoning for the puppy to move towards it. He’s understandably hesitant, but gradually over time, he realizes the woman has good intentions, and he moves closer.
