Smokey the dog had his friend Remus over for a playdate when a scary situation took place. Smokey fell into the swimming pool and couldn’t find a way to get out. The dog isn’t a great swimmer and usually just wades on the steps with his family. Now he was in the deep end putting up a struggle, but thankfully his friend knew just what to do.
Smokey’s owner had gone into the house just for a moment when it all happened and didn’t know until he noticed his dog was soaking wet. He reviewed the security camera footage and saw all of Remus’s bravery in action.
“So Remus and Smokey got a little rambunctious. Smokey can swim just not well ( as video shows ) watch video all the way to end.Jay recorded this off our security camera when he saw Smokey all wet ! Remus May be a crazy pup but he’s got a heart of gold !! My hero,” Smokey’s Mom said on Facebook.
“When we saw the footage we were amazed and our hearts filled with joy,” she told The Dodo. “My best friend (Remus’ owner) cried when we sent her the video. She says he’s a certified lifeguard now.”
Remus saved his friend’s life, and Smokey couldn’t be more thankful. 🙂
