Locals later found that the 15-year-old dog had painfully bled to death after being dumped in a gutter nearby.

By then, the culprits had already escaped in their car, which is an early 2000s model white Jeep Grand Cherokee with black rims.

This heartless killing of the pet dog has left everyone sick in the guts.

Detective Mark Christiansen was especially angry over how the owners chose to get rid of their dog without an ounce of compassion.

While it’s not known whether the senior dog was sick or injured, activists argue that there’s always the route to surrender sick dogs to shelters where they can find help, or at least get them euthanized humanely.

PETA has also stepped up to aid the investigations, and are offering $5,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the culprits.
