Man’s about to return his dog to the shelter when he reads a letter from the former owner

This man’s about to return his dog to the shelter when he opens and reads the letter from Reggie’s former owner. What’s inside changes everything. ❤

Just beautiful, isn’t it? Be sure to share this one with your friends.

  1. Owner didn’t abandon the pup. He was a soldier with no family so had to leave the pup at the shelter when he was deployed to Iraq and was later killed in the line of duty. Did you read the whole thing?

  2. Hare Krishna it is so touching, so sad to depart a near one like Tank. But probably it was his prayer that Tank got a good owner again. May God bless both of you and may he not face the same trauma of separation from you.

  3. It is a fake story, but lovely nonetheless. It like to think it speaks to new adopters about letting their dogs settling in. They need way more than 2 weeks. My 8 y/o male lab, who I adopted 11 mos ago is still adapting. He’s a runner who was always trying to make a break out the gate and he’d be gone. He’s chipped, wears a simple tag with his name and my phone no., is very friendly, and I’d soon get a call within a few blocks of us. He learned to stay 15′ back whenever I opened the gate, but I still had to close it behind me. Last night when I was taking the garbage out I forgot to secure the gate. He stepped 10′ out onto the driveway apron and just stood there looking at me. I carefully went to him, gripped his collar, and gave him lots of love. Good dog!
