Sometimes, a dog is in the wrong place at the wrong time. That’s exactly what happened to a dog in Michigan.
After being struck by a car, the dog died, leaving behind a puppy with no mama to care for him. Because the puppy was only days old, he would surely perish if someone did not step up to help.
The Michigan Humane Society heard about the puppy and came up with a clever solution. Since they had a mama cat who was still nursing her kittens, they introduced the newborn pup to the litter.

Wondering if this plan would work out, the staff was very happy when mama cat happily accepted the puppy as one of her own.
After being fostered for a period of time, the entire crew will be placed up for adoption through the Michigan Humane Society.
