A puppy named Scout was found all by his lonesome in the middle of a cemetery. He was in terrible shape, hairless, and covered in scabs and sores.
A woman was placing flowers on a gravestone one day when he came running up to her, and she contacted the McNairy County Humane Society right away.

And only after about two weeks, Scout went from 7.2 pounds up to a much healthier 12 pounds!
He was shedding his scabs and looking much better, and his personality was starting to come through. He fit in with all of the other dogs right away and just wanted to run and play. 🙂

Then Melissa Nazar came into the picture. When she saw Scout’s rescue video, she was captured by his will to live and enthralled by those eyes that “stared through your soul.”
She had to have him, and just like that he was adopted! 🙂
