Police Officer Makes Woman Sit In Hot Car After She Left Her Dog In The Car

Police were called when this lady left her dog in a hot car while she went into Walmart.

When she came back out to her car, a cop was waiting and made her sit in the hot car to see how her dog felt!

HuffingtonPost.com reports that this happened after the officer responded to the call about the dog being left in the car in Ohio:

“To prove a point, the officer made the woman sit inside of the warm car with the windows up and without the engine on for a few minutes.

The woman said she was fine but the officer noted she looked uncomfortable. The woman was advised if she did this again she would be cited.”

The article notes that this isn’t the first time that an officer has done this. They say that last year another officer did the same thing to a woman who left her dog in a hot car in New Mexico.

That woman said that what the officer did was “abusive”. It was all caught on camera too.

Do you think it’s fair or is the officer going too far by making these people sit in a hot car after they leave their dogs in a hot car?

  1. He didn’t order her to sit in the car… did no one actually watch the video? He said in passing that while he writes the ticket she can wait in the car cause hey its not that hot but didn’t say no rolling down windows, don’t turn the vehicle on.

  2. Some people have no common sense and those people shouldn’t be privileged to have animals in their lives . Someone should of welded the doors closed on this women and clogged the tail pipe …obviously that’s too extreme but I’m just so sick and tired of hearing of fur parents abusing their fur baby’s this way . Wake up lady your the abuser ! The police officer was just trying to give you a lesson on common sense . Luckily for this pet what I can gather the pet was unharmed but I’ve heard of many cases where the animals and children were not so fortunate .please don’t leave your fur baby’s or human baby’s or anyone else for that matter in your vehicle unattended this summer.
