Pepe The Paralyzed Pug’s Incredible Journey To Recovery. He Didn’t Let His Disability Slow Him Down!

When Pepe the Pug was just a puppy, he was stepped on by accident… paralyzing him.

His owners made the difficult decision to give him up. It was uncertain if he would be put down.

Thankfully, Gwenn and Pug Nation took him in for medical care and physical therapy and assumed all the costs.

Today, little Pepe is happier than ever, running all over the place in his forever home.

Watch the inspiring story and his incredible path to recovery in the video on the next page!

  1. God you sweet girl for taking him in and giving him a forever home. I’m a pug lover and it is very sad. but you make him so happy and I’m sure he does you also.

  2. My 9 year old Pug fell off of the side of a set of steps and broke her back leaving her paralyzed. This was almost 4 years ago. She had a back surgery to remove the swelling and scar tissue and correct her spine. She spent the following 12 weeks dragging her back legs just like the dog from this story. We followed up with 8 weeks of swim therapy and do that generally every winter but she is walking with all four legs and has been since about 4 months after her back surgery. It’s amazing what these adorable little guys can do!

  3. This happened to my pug, Taz! I spent $5,500 to have the spinal surgery done in him. He walks and runs just fine now. He still has a lag in his back legs, but, at least he walks now. God bless pepe and his journey.
