Felon Severely Scalded Pup, Dumped Him On Secluded Dirt Road To Blister & Rot

PETA is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for severely burning a puppy in Castle Hayne, North Carolina.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office received a call after a 6 to 8-week-old pup was found abandoned on a secluded dirt road.

The poor puppy, now named Oscar, was rushed to a local animal hospital for treatment. He suffered severe burns on his face, legs and body.

Thankfully, little Oscar is doing well and has even gotten his first round of shots. The vet is monitoring his mouth as his teeth grow in.

They say he will require dental surgeries in the future so he’ll be able to eat and chew as normal as possible.

In the meantime, he is living with a foster and is loving life. Despite everything he’s been through, he is still incredible friendly and loves everyone he meets.

PETA and the sheriff’s department are now seeking the public’s help in identifying the puppy and/or the abusers responsible.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office Animal Services Unit at (910) 798-7517 or submit a tip online at: https://www.newhanoversheriff.com/submit-a-crime-tip/.
