Moose the dog sat patiently by his dad’s hospital bed, waiting for him to return. Sadly, his owner passed away, leaving Moose alone, heartbroken, and confused.

The three-year-old normally happy Lab mix was sent to Eleventh Hour Rescue in hopes of finding a new home.
The folks at NorthStar Pet Rescue learned about the mourning pooch and shared his story on Facebook. They wrote, “Please help Moose find a new home and a family for him to love. He’s a sweet happy boy by nature. He just needs people to help his heart heal.”

Thanks to the power of social media, the applications poured him to adopt the sad fellow. The post was shared thousands of times and picked up by many media outlets.
Because he would do best in a home where he was not home alone all day, kind people stepped up to help.
