There are a bunch of things we can remind ourselves to be grateful for as we near Thanksgiving, but losing our dog for close to a year isn’t one of them.
This is an incredible story about Chips, a 4-year-old pug who left home last Thanksgiving near San Antonio, Texas and somehow ended up 650 miles away in Petal, Mississippi.
Chips was very lucky to have been found by a good Samaritan in the parking lot of a local store, and even luckier to be taken to this pet hospital where it was discovered that Chips had a microchip.
Chips the pug is on his way home, nearly a year after disappearing from his owners, Mark Becker and Joni Harrel's lives after the holiday.
After waiting so long for him to return, it’s understandable that some pup parents would give up hope of reuniting with their best friend.

So, I lost my bevoled rat terrier Bessie (17) a few days ago. She had been my pug Spanky’ s (11) constant companion since he was 8 weeks old and came to us. He is very lost and lethargic. He is eating ok( he is a pug afterall) but I can’t seem to get him out of his depression. He really does not like other dogs very much. Only her.
