For 8 years, this beautiful girl only knew a depressing life. She spent every moment chained to a wall in a garage.
Amazingly, despite living like this and lacking social interaction and love, Lola the Pit Bull is the sweetest dog you could ever meet.

AMA Animal Rescue heard about Lola and came to meet her. She greeted them with a wagging tail. That just goes to show how incredible dogs are. Lola had a large mass growing on her hind leg. She needed to see a vet right away.

The rescuers happily cut her chain and took her away from the prison she had been living in. As Lola went inside the vet’s office, her tail continued to wag. She harbored no ill will towards humans even though she had never been treated fairly.

The vet discovered more tumors. The large one on her leg and she had mammary tumors as well. All were benign and safely removed. Lola was such a trooper during her surgery and recovery.

Lola also needed several of her teeth removed since they were so far gone from rot. But again, she was such a brave girl! After recovery, and a long road back to better health, Lola was ready for her next step. A new home!

After some difficulties and challenges, Lola found her new mom. She needed someone special that could devote a lot of time to her and understand that Lola hasn’t had an easy life. Look, they’re a match made in heaven! We are so grateful that Lola’s story ended happily.
